Exactly. There were more than 10 posts before someone said to stay away.

So much confidence from the first few guys.

For this forum, I think if you aren't 100% certain you should not post. Wrong answers have real impact here.

And OP's should be patient and wait for consensus. Too good to be true deals don't really exist in the age of the internet. Even granny can google how much a watch is selling for. No one is going to sell a watch at steal it pricing.

Exactly.

Luckily the OP has buyer's protection. Hopefully no issues getting the money back.

Too easy to get excited and jump the gun based on the advice of people who don't know what they are talking about.

We've seen plenty of "I got scammed" stories here.

There's that thing about the people who usually have no idea what they are talking about having the most confidence.

You would think the smallest bit of humility might creep in when you're proven wrong over and over again.

There should be a sticky in this section about not taking anything Gladiator says too seriously. Haha.
Agreed...

So it was ‘cheap’ on eBay, isn’t that the first rule of steering clear.

Can’t say I’d have had the balls to scrape a piece off the lug like that. Can you imagine if the seller refused the return as the item had been irreversibly damaged. And you documented on the internet. Don’t think there was any need to do that by the looks of the thing.

Wonder how that works in terms of him getting it back damaged, yes it’s fake and yes he deserves it smashing with a hammer but are you within right to scrape the gold off the lug of someone else’s watch? You could end up having to buy him a new fake
