The 16750. Why? Because it is what I have owned for the last 33 years! I like the matte dial, the plexi crystal, and the quickset feature. The new ones are just too blingy for me.

For me it's hands down the 16750 matte dial. I have one with WG surrounds which I love but when I see the right one up for sale I'll pull the trigger!

Just saw this thread, which was resurrected yesterday from last August. I'll contribute. Not my only GMT but certainly my favorite.
This was my first GMT and has been my favorite watch for the past 10 or so years.

My vote goes to the vintage 1675.
This one has been a fixture on my wrist for most of the last 43 years. Together we have survived the Vietnam war, three motorcycle wrecks, one airplane crash, and I once shorted the watch to my car battery causing the pit in the bezel ring visible at "4". Case, dial, bezel, hands, and most everything else are all original. Many more stories too numerous to write here. Other watches come and go, but this one will never be sold. |

Great rendition you have there. Classic black GMT. I love my BLNR, but must admit I sometimes get a little nostalgic for a 1675. |

I like the 6542 best, but I don't know if I would ever buy one because I couldn't wear it without potentially breaking the bakelite, and I like to wear the pieces I own.
2nd best, PCG 1675s. 3rd best, the YG GMT II anniversary 4th best, the new WG Pepsi

A gilt... definitely a gilt. But I'd settle for a more common 1675.

Any model with the Pepsi Bezel; Tom Seleck made it famous in the 1980's and it is still true today.
Every time I see one, I dream that I'm back on Oahu again !! |
