This watch is also great on a strap. I particularly love these Hirsch James straps, which are leather covered rubber. It makes the watch an incognito sport watch.

Thanks. Yes. It's officially called Silver Mosaic, I believe, and it seems to be the most common actually.

You're welcome. Good luck with your search, and don't forget to show us what you get. I will be in Japan next week on a Seiko quest.

You're right, it does look great on the strap as well! May have to add a strap or two into the mix as well. Still on the hunt for a reasonably priced 7836 bracelet after seeing yours!

These pictures are making me drool. What's the best bet for getting one of these from the US? I do see some on ebay but of course my concern there is always whether it is genuine. Has anybody had luck buying one new from the US?

Was in the market for an older oyster prince until I found Adam's bombshell news that these are still available. My first 36mm Rolex case; love it. Holes are awesome. Tuna can clasps like a bank vault.

Do we think Rolex is still producing these cases? Or is it more likely they're using up old stock? I'd bet the latter but who knows.

Thanks to Adam and the 76200 groupies. Will post some more pictures when I get a chance.

Congratulations Bax. The case numbers are fairly recent ("I" series), but I guess they could just be stamping old cases. Your guess is as good as mine. Looks great on you

Have been considering a trip to HK in the next few months and this thread is definitely fueling the want for one of these... hoping to find one in an AD!

There's a LNIB blue faced 76200 in the US currently for sale on WUS if anyone is interested. Warranty card dated Nov 17.

You should do it! Blue faced versions are under represented in this thread. Not to mention that would prevent me from purchasing another one!

Like what Dave Chapelle once said "I plead the fif". I should have it by Saturday if i'm lucky, otherwise for sure on Monday. I'll be sure to post some pics once I have it in my little hands. Thanks for the enabling, especially to Expat Beast for the wonderful write up!

Great watch, compliments!
I’m going to buy a blu dial 76412... what about the Tudor bracialet vs the Rolex one?

The bracelets are similar in quality to the older jubilee bracelets. A nice oyster option is the Tudor 7836, which douglasf13 has on his 76200.
