And how about an apology?

Seems, that my comment was more helpful and accurate then most of yours.

John, when you have received the funds back, could you please expose the seller?

According to their feedback, they've sold some other name brand items. Wonder if they were fake as well.

I was surprised myself, but I contacted eBay. They said the seller is suspicious. I also noted to eBay that once my item had sold all their other auctions were ended early by the seller which made me nervous. I don't know if it was the sellers intent to sell a replica or if they didn't know. Either way I will be getting my money back.

This the fake clasp on my watch.

This is the real one.

The seller responded immediately and apologized. They said it was a gift and had no idea it was a replica. Kind of weird as soon as the watch sold all the other auctions were ended. Maybe the seller was hoping who ever received the watch wouldn't have checked. I don't know what the sellers intent was but all I know is I'm happy its ending the way it is, obviously a authentic watch would of been sweeter but eah.

I would love to see the movement. You should open it up so we can see what they are using. Swiss ETA, clone movement, Chinnese etc...

I am also curious about the case back and its markings.

Did you already open your case with eBay? Or has the seller issued a refund already via PayPal?

You're due one, but you won't get it. Adam has no doubt moved on to dispensing poor advice in another thread.

No one should rely on him for any sort of authentication.

It’s quite frightening to read these threads concerning fake Rolex on the grey market.
Without knowledge and totally green in the gray market I bought my Datejust from a seller in Italy on Chrono24. It went well, the Rolex AD and their watchmaker confirmed the authenticity of the watch and I’m happy.
But after reading all these things here in the Rolex community, I don’t think I would ever dare to buy like that again

Seller is full of BS. How many folks REALLY receive a 30K Rolex DD as a gift? and then try to sell it? I know their intent. It was to rip off an uninformed buyer. "Nuff said!

It's so weird. His record seems pretty bad at this point.

I'm not an expert by any means and that's why I don't usually give advice in this section but that thing looked pretty bad even to me.

There's that thing about the people who usually have no idea what they are talking about having the most confidence.

You would think the smallest bit of humility might creep in when you're proven wrong over and over again.

There should be a sticky in this section about not taking anything Gladiator says too seriously. Haha.
