I recommend this watch if you love it. The platinum bezel durability like any metal bezel depends very much on how you treat it.

I wear my 116622 with relative care (no banging against objects, no free dropping on the table etc.) and I haven't made a single scratch on the bezel in four years since I bought it.

Also, the RSC can refinish the bezel like new if need be (no replacement required if it's only superficial scratches).

One of the most underrated references. Beautiful and great form that wears like a Daytona versus a Rolex diver.

Can anyone comment on how the 116622 looks on the wrist (presence wise)? I like the look of 6-digit Subs and GMTs and wondered if the YM has a similar look even though the case is more Daytona like.
Only ask the question because I’ve never seen one in the wild.

I think it looks like a healthy mix between a five digit and six digit. You get the maxi dial with the larger markers but the smaller lugs and more curved case. It is super comfortable and easy to wear. I really have not seen ANY in the wild as opposed to the GMT or Sub. I have a soft spot for it and absolutely enjoy wearing the YM.

Love it! It’s probably my last Rolex.

Eight inch wrist.

I was wondering : could the YM 40's bezel and that of the Sub be swapped ? They're prolly the same size, aren't they ?

I have the Rhodium dial and love it. The little bit of blue is perfect.

I had the rhodium and then traded to the blue rey and prefer the rhodium because it can be dressed with formal suit.

Gonna second this one here. My 116622 dark rhodium is my first Rolex and I have worn it every day for the last (almost) two months since I bought it. I have had a few rough hits reaching into tight drawers and whatnot and the bezel has bene unscathed. Scratches are more noticeable on the polished case / center links than the bezel.

The YM is one of the best watches out there. The blue dial version may be my next watch. I absolutely live it.

This watch is way more sophisticated than what you probably put your name on the list for, Three tones, steel and platinum, rhodium dial, 40mm. Unique piece you won't see others wearing. I would be happy with this piece because I have already had the basic sports models and ready for something different.

Here's a few from me which I hope shows why I absolutely love this watch. It is my favourite.

I am hoping the rhodium stays under the radar because at the moment it feels a bit like my secret and is becoming part of my own 'look' because I never see anyone wearing one. Still I'm guessing it will be on the flippers radar at some point.

Tried the everose / black dial.

Very nice until I noticed the crown was stainless steel.

The consultant was an absolute pleasure. We discussed everything from kids in college to our favorite Rolex trends. Charming. She directed me to the Yacht master shown here. I’d never considered it but in looking at the pictures, darn, it looks pretty good on my 6.75” wrist. I’m a little tired of polished links, and wonder how the watch as a whole will dress down if I decide to take it horseback riding on the weekends. And how will I feel if a new gmt shows up 9 months from now and I’ve blown my cash on this lovely (but unloved watch). I do have a black modern GMT and an old Pepsi. My current dream watch is a Kermit, but I hate the idea of the premiums. Plus, this watch feels more solid.

OP - that watch looks great on you! Is that the 40mm or the 37?

I've been considering this watch for awhile now too. I actually saw my first one "in the wild" yesterday -- I'm having my kitchen remodeled, and the cabinet guy came out to take measurements. He owns the company, apparently, and likes doing the final measurements himself. I noticed he had a YM on, and it looked really great. It was an older one -- with the sparkly dial -- and you could see it was "well worn" -- the usual 10+ years of scratches on it. And it still looked good. Very rugged and "manly". The slight wear/scratches on the bezel were not extreme, and reminded me of the scratches on the PCLs of my DJ after only a year of wear. In fact if anything I think it made the watch look better, more rugged and less "showroom floor" type of look.

Love mine with blue dial. I've taken the scratch warnings to heart and try to be careful (with all my watches); the bezel has no discernable scratches in over the year since I've owned it. Extremely comfortable on the wrist and the blue dial really pops in sunlight.

I'm awaiting the 40mm rhodium dial at one of my ad's. I think it's a real sleeper and I've never seen one in the wild. I also think it's interesting that you rarely see them posted here.

Stunning photos! Thank you for sharing. I really like both the rhodium dial and the blue dial with red accents. It would be a tough choice for me to choose between those two.

No problem - glad you like them.

There is no easy answer between the rhodium and the blue - they are both stunning. The blue feels a little more fun/playful and the rhodium a bit more mature/serious to me. I went for rhodium because I have other blue dial watches and I'm waiting for the blue Sky-Dweller.

I think they are nice. When SS models were more widely available though they were pretty undesirable. Now that the SS models are being sold for triple msrp these models have filled that void and become more popular
