Trade chances?

What are my trade chances if I have a GMT II 16710 (Black bezel), original owner, all boxes, tags, even original receipt and old school warranty certificate? I’d love a new version LN in all black. It was my first Rolex and I have a BLNR as well, just want something heavier than the old school bracelet. OR am I crazy for not keeping it?

Go try the new one on if you can find a dealer who has one. I would also do some research on the value of your watch and figure out what is fair. As far as being your first Rolex and having an emotional attachment to inanimate objects, I would not. I am attached to people and relationships and will and have sold material items when I am ready and for the right price. I would get all the information about values and try the modern LN and if it works, I would have a new watch.

Sorry, you have the better watch. The new models with their giant lugs and excessive shine are more about wrist presence than any actual improvements. Keep your classic, you will be glad you did.

It’s the options that make one dissatisfied in their current piece. The cycle for something else will continue again after you get your “next” piece anyway.

If you already have the BLNR, the LN is redundant and a little boring. Keep the 16710. Put a new bezel in it. Maybe a coke. It’ll feel like a new watch.

Yeah, get the pepsi and coke bezels. Maybe a jubilee too. It's a keeper, IMO

⬆️⬆️⬆️ Agree! The BLNR and LN would be very similar, at least that’s what I experienced between the two. The blue/black bezel appears very dark/black a lot of the time anyway. The 16710 is very versatile with different bezel & bracelet choices. JMO

Keep the 5 digit watch, sell the BLNR and buy a Submariner instead of a GMT.
