These folks highlighted in the article really want to be seen as the only real trusted experts, so propping up free resources like TRF isn’t exactly in their interest. At least on Reddit you can quickly and swiftly get called out big time and moved out pushing propaganda.

Which makes sense. Because the NY Times is firmly on the side of credentialism, experts, wonks, and elitism.
