i have a rolex daytona 1992 winners watch with a flag and what looks like guinuine rolex enblams do you think this is a fake

When my girlfriend showed the Daytona I gave her, to her friends at work, they said it was a fake because it didn't have "Rolex" engraved into the back of the case...

I'm gonna have to say fake. A large portion of cheap daytona fakes have this "Rolex Daytona 24 Winner" engraved on the case back.

Why not take it to a Rolex AD and have them look at it and take the back off to check the movement!!!

I agree that the odds that a Daytona with that engraving on the back is a fake and we see them here all the time.

However, like others have said, we need pictures in order to advise one way or the other.

For future reference, threads like this one rightfully go to the "Watch Out" section and this one is likely to be moved shortly.

That's definitely a fake, a well-produced one, I've seen it dozens of times. Sorry my friend, but it's not a real Rolex.

this watch has 16520 0n both sides off the strap with the number 456 with another letter or num i cant see it has all the so called crowns in the right place

Sorry Shane, it's definitely a fake, Rolex never made one that had a flag on it. Doesn't it also say something like: "24 hours..." Or something. And the small dials, (called totalizers) probably show the day, or date or something(?). Anyway, please show us pics, but in the mean time, take a look at the Rolex website and check out a pic of a real Daytona, even the ones made in 92 (Called a Zenith) look nothing like yours if your description is correct.

But, you don't have to own a Rolex to be part of TRF, please stick around, maybe get a real Daytona. Welcome

i have looked at the website for this watch and every thing is identical from the wording on the watch face to the oyster numbers so maybe it is genuine

Well then by all means, show us a pic! I am hardly an expert but do own a Daytona, and there ARE experts on here. Show us the best pics of the front and back and let's see what we come up with. Hey, if it turns out to be real, I am very happy for you, (but if it has a flag on the back of the case.... Anyway, show us some pics and we can take it from there!
