Icon14 GMT IIc accuracy

This is for all of you out there appreciating perfection ;-)

I have had my first Rolex (116710) for about a month now and for the entire time it never deviated more than -1.5/+1.5 seconds. Amazing!

I have experimented with different nightstand positions, with following results:
crown left +0.5s/day
crown up 0 (I guess, can't tell)
crown right -0.5s/day

During the day, while being worn, the watch usually gains up to 0.5s/day.

I have owned quite a few watches in my life, but never one so well tuned, barely affected by position, shock or temperature changes. Every time I look at it, I admire the engineering that went into it. Well done, Rolex!

BTW, I decided to get the GMT IIc after spending quite a few hours reading posts on this forum. I am a pilot, biker, sailor and recreational scuba diver and love the versatility of this watch.

So thank you Rolex, and thank you TRF members for this experience!

Gliderpilot,
I have a GMT-IIc and recently took it on a two week business trip. Set it to the atomic clock before the trip and used the time zone feature many times and at the end of the trip The watch was +1 second fast. Now that is what I call accuracy.

My GMT 16710 is exactly the same with the 3185 caliber.

Same here. I rest it crown up a couple times a week and that slows it down just enough to be perfect over 7 days. Amazing.

My TT blue SubC loses 18 secs in 6 days, very good for a mechanical watch, though its funny isn't it as i much prefer a watch to gain rather than lose.
