Because you know how they are when you get something and they don't lol! After I got my gorgeous blue face sub 116613 I got her this SS and white gold. She cried when I told her it will arrive Tuesday. If anybody deserves it she does.

SH! I did the same and now I get less questions about boxes showing up that require a signature.

I also bought her this:

Any chick that can put up with me deserves it lol. 18 years of marriage and two daughters later. I always get the nice toys. Fast cars and things I've already forgotten about. I was more excited to get this for her than I was to get mine.

I've considered getting the wife a Rolex or other nice watch, but she always tells me she doesn't want one. She has a couple of fashion watches (Kate Spade, Michael Kors, etc.), but mostly wears her fitbit or apple watch. Been trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and get her a Rolex anyway to see if it changes her mind.

I'm in the same boat. Would love to buy my wife a Rolex but she doesn't want one. She's perfectly content with her Cartier Tank I bought for her a few years ago.

I couldn't help but notice your location. I was born and raised in Santa Clara California before it was called Silicon Valley. I saw the boom happen. Before that it was all agriculture and orchards.

Congrats to you both! My wife agreed to let me get a Rolex. It was more than I was actually wanting but she didn't want me to have what everybody else has. My WG OF Daytona is on order. I can't wait. She doesn't want a Rolex as I have tried to get her to pick one. She's very happy with her David Yurman black ceramic WG with diamonds. We found it in Las Vegas a few years ago. It's something that you don't see often at all but very stunning and unique. I bought it for her then and there. I was so stoked about her giving me the PO to get my watch I bought her this ring from my AD because she is the best wife in the universe. That's her 'Rolex' and it fits on her finger!

I did the same thing a couple months ago. I felt a little bad about getting a BLNR so I bought her one like the one you are getting but a black face. She said the same thing some others have said here that she didn't need it and her other watches (tag, b&m, etc.) were good enough. When I surprised her on our anniversary (I told her we were picking up my watch) she was very happy and has been wearing it every single day. She loves it and just didn't know it beforehand. Unfortunately I am still waiting for mine to come in which should be this week but I am more happy for her. It is both of our first Rolex's.

Smart move. It's an investment in your own future happiness as well as in hers. Some folks are playing checkers. You are playing chess. Or Go. That sigh of contentment she will make every now and then when looking at the watch on her wrist will be a sigh of contentment towards you as much as for the Rolex.
