First Panerai, 1090 vs 1312
Hi guys! Looking to purchase my first Panerai and got it down to either the 1090 or 1312. I tried both at my local AD and can't decide. I was hoping I can get some insight from you guys/owner exxperiences. Also, the AD offered me 15% off the price; is that a good discount for these two models?
Thanks guys! |

Bought the 1312. Power reserve 72 hours vs 50 for the 1090. Slimmer movement, smaller lugs and crown protector. Makes it look almost more elegant, but at 44mm still a substantial PAM. Not a fan of date magnification on PAMs and power reserve indicator not necessary. But that’s just me. Go to the AD and try them both out again to see which sings to you. At the end of the day, your only job in this world is to ensure that you are happy. :)

I would also pick 1312 for many of the same reasons Patrick stated above.

The 1312 is a beautiful watch but only you can decide whats best for you.

Do you like the blue hand? What about power reserve? Have you tried on either case (both are 44, but they are different)?
