Help Finding a Watch in Taiwan
I’m looking to get some help from the TRF members. My wife is headed to Taiwan with the military for about a week. I notice there are a lot of AD’s in Taiwan, any chance of finding a BLRO or BLNR there? Anyone know the largest dealer there? Tried calling but the language barrier is making it a little tough.

Two chances. Slim and none. Same as anywhere.
You have better chances with a nautilus. They have biggest PP boutique in world. But you need to spend lots. |

Finding any wanted watch in Taiwan is pretty much impossible. I lived in Taipei and went to Kaoshiung and many other cities. The ADs there have a poster on their door with pics of BLNR, LV, Daytona, GMT, Sub, Sky-dweller, which clearly say they don't have stock and not to ask about them. Not sure about the Pateks. The AP was the same story. Taiwan has a lot of money and lot of people love watches there. Would be a tough buy.

Try for a blue sky-dweller and DaytonaC too 😂 Grey dealers should have them though |

Taipei has more UHNWIs than San Francisco or LA. On Zhongxiao Rd it seems like there is an AD at every corner, but even if they had anything desirable in stock for walk-ins, the minimum bundle would be with a Tudor of their choice out of the display case.
We bought my wife's SS Daytona at an AD in the south five years ago - walked in, they had just received a white one, we walked out with it 10min later. Not going to happen now. |

There's nothing in Taipei, same as anywhere else. Went to Fuxing boutique couple of months ago - very friendly and apologetic that they didn't have any sports watches whatsoever.

I was in Taiwan Nov 2018 in Taipei and Kaohsiung. Went to all the ADs I can find and could not find any professional sports SS watch on display.
Plus if they do have they make you bundle buy watches with Tudor. |

Well wife is currently in Taiwan, if anyone knows of an AD that has either an LV, BLRO or a BLNR please feel free to let me know. Really hope I can make it happen on this trip even though I know it's a long shot!

Taiwan is extremely clear about how to acquire one. They hand you a clear list of either watch(es) you have to buy or x dollar NTD you have to spend. Very transparent and it is what it is, no ifs and buts unless you know someone.

So if I bundle it is there a chance I could get what I'm looking for?

I am in Taiwan on vacation. Went to several ADs in Taipei and also the one AD in Hualien. Zero sports watches, meager inventory of everything else.

I live in Taiwan currently, and 0 chances at AD for the pieces you are after on the spot. For those, you're looking to wait an unknown amount of time + bundling it with a Tudor piece once it arrives.
Your wife would be able to find those pieces at grey dealers all over Taipei, but the prices will be higher than what you see here on TRF. |

Trust me, I've gone to all ADs here in Taipei, and I have concluded that it's easier for me to get my piece waiting in US ADs. |

They get a 5711 once every two months supposedly. Maybe more often for 7188. But you need to have a “relationship”. There was a 7188 RG version available for sale when we were there last Feb. Just didnt sing to my wife. |

I think if you're looking for the watch on the spot, probably smarter to go with grey like the previous poster said. |
