BRACELET Question: Day Date 40 vs Day Date II
Does anyone know if the Day Date II have the ceramic inserts in the bracelet links like the Day Date 40?
I know one of the improvements of the Day-Date 40 was the inclusion of ceramic inserts in the bracelet links to avoid the “stretching” of the bracelet over time. I could get a good deal on a Day Date II but I just want to know if the bracelet will be as good/durable as the Day Date 40, if not I would go with the Day Date 40 instead. Thanks everyone! |

I think its only for the platinum DDII. For video comparison between the 2 watches:

If the seller is local it’s pretty easy to determine. Just remove a screw and the sleeve will slip out. If they’re not there I would pass on the watch. Just my preference.

Ceramic inserts were tested in the platinum DDII watch before they were rolled out to all DD40 watch models.

Thank you for the info! Now I wonder if they also put ceramic inserts in the new 36mm DD models.

As I understand, the ceramic inserts are added now only to the DD40 models.

On these new versions, the President bracelet is equipped with an elegant concealed folding Crownclasp and includes ceramic inserts inside the links to enhance its flexibility and longevity. |
