Get your name on the list and wait .then you will pay retail of £7150
If you don't go on the list your only option would be to pay £14000 from a grey dealer.. when they get the stock. As there is potentially so much profit to be made when you buy the watch the waiting lists will be already massive so you would be better off being very quick. There is already waiting lists and the stock has not hit the shops yet So to sum up get on list or pay twice retail your call. One way you wait the other your are robbed |

Unless you have a great relationship with an AD, you will be waiting a long time for that model

The only relationship a AD wants is with someone who has a hefty bank balance.

Its either taking a chance with the list or go gray if you want the watch right away.
Goldsmiths classic 0%, most loved northern words "Interest Free Credit". Cant beat it. |

Btw....... They may not provide interest free on watches which fetch a premium on the grey market.

Buy a GMT for $12,000 (CAD - tax in) on 0% credit for 4 years, then flip the watch for $20k and invest the proceeds at 6% avg annual RoR which would grow to $25,250. Pay off the original $12k loan and Bob's your uncle. |

Goldsmiths do not offer interest free credit on ANY Rolex anymore. And even after registering your interest in store for a new stainless steel GMT I’m afraid you will be waiting many, many years with no previous purchase history.
I also doubt (especially in UK) that anyone will be able to buy a SS professional model in the future from an AD without purchasing a PM or at least a DJ (or 2) first. |

The 2019 model isn't released yet and the initial demand is very high.
I doubt you will get on any 'wait list' any more in the UK. Without a solid history at an AD, you will likely be allowed to 'express an interest' and they will immediately discard it. And the shortage is worldwide. I would suggest considering another model if I were the OP. |

Has anyone ever addressed this issue directly in a public platform like twitter?

Good luck at Goldsmiths. I registered for a Tudor GMT Pepsi a year ago and have not heard a peep from them however was able to secure one from a different AD. My guess is you’d never hear back from Goldsmiths unless you drop in literally everyday and over the course of a few years buy a couple other timepieces.
