It looks like both dials have a different “1” in 1220m.

Mk1..... l ( l220m)

Mk2..... 1 ( 1220m)

Movement is the same. One is not better than the other, however traditionally speaking the Mk1 might gain a little more interest from a collectors standpoint, being an anniversary watch. It’s entirely possible down the road it ends up being worth more money.

Trolling Chrono24 and notice that there are so few mark II dial for sale. I am thinking the Mark II dial is more rare than the mark I.

It's the same variation for the "1" on the depth rating with the 116660 and 126660.

FYI, while shopping for my new SD50th, I noticed that most all our trusted sellers are now noting either MK1 or MK2 dial. So apparently the distinction between the two dials are now a note worthy factor. This might matter to some like if the stickers are on or off a new watch.

I happen to get a MK1.

It currently will be, as it seems there's still MK1 stock; I've just tried one on at an AD last week. So MK2 iterations must only have come into production earlier this year, and probably that 'run' only distributed in certain markets so far. I would think in a year this would change.

Have never seen a sd43 in the flesh

Is it as FAT as a DEEPSEA?

Anyone has any side shots, compared to a sub?

The DSSD is about 2.5mm thicker than the SD43. The SD43 is about 2.5mm thicker than the SubC.

Thanks man

Think the SD43 would be perfect

The DEEPSEA is just ridiculous for my wrist size, just started laughing when I tried one on.

Somewhere here there is a companions shot of all three side by side, but i5 sounds like you’re already certain

FWIW, I didn’t find the height of the Dblue to be all that bad. I found it was no more or less comfortable than the SD43 IMO

The DEEPSEA was just to much for me,

If not my LV SUB AND TT gmt will have to do

It’s an acronym for a word used to designate a version of a dial. Mark = MK

In software, you’d say “Release”
In cars, you’d say “Gen”.

So in dials it’s “Mark”.

MK 1 or MK 2, you're lucky if you have either.

I'm happy with my MK1 because I got in its release year.

They are using our attention to detail against us!

Beautiful watch, congrats to all who have one

I just picked up my mk2 this week more than happy with it. What would happen if they changed to white text at Basel in 2019, then there would probably be less mk2 dials than mk 1s . Just a thought ! Jay

IMHO, the actual 50th anniversary release, MKl, would be my choice for its nascency nostalgia.
