15202BC: White Gold with Salmon Dial

With the new CODE line, the 15500, new offshores, and new 38mm ROC, perhaps the most intriguing release of the show, in my opinion, has flown well under the radar: the new Jumbo in WG with a salmon dial! I think it looks really good, although I'd prefer the dial were a slightly darker salmon color -- to me, this almost looks like it's halfway between salmon and champagne, although maybe it looks different in real life than in these press pictures. Still, though, this is a cool piece and they're only making 75 of them. I emailed my salesperson, but I'm not getting my hopes up -- I couldn't even get the 150-piece 15202IP from last year.

What do all of you think?

US list price: $55,400 (via HODINKEE)

HODINKEE introduction piece: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/au...al-introducing

Link to its page on the AP website: https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....OO.1240BC.01/

And finally, some pics:

It's in the HODINKEE article -- $55,400.

I like it!! That dial is really sharp looking! At 75 pieces, that's pretty much gonna be unobtainable. I hope you are able to get one though. I suspect these will resell at quite the premium.

The salmon dial is my favorite AP release this year. If only I had $56k to drop on a watch.

It’s pretty damn nice. If I wasn’t constantly swearing while trying to set the date on my 15202ST I would be begging the boutique for one. For me the jumbo is like a supermodel that won’t go out and eat steak with me. Wants to sit home, do coke and show herself on IG all day

I really like it. I agree though, would rather the dial be salmon than a champagne gold.

That’s awesome.

In the early 90s they made a 14802ST with a salmon dial. I looked for one for a while and couldn’t find the right one.

I’ll bet it’s beautiful in the flesh.

I wish it were actually salmon. Not that it matters but def doesn took the part. Fair enough as it’s not advertised as such by AP. HODINKEE called it salmon. Not sure why.

Fantastic piece, I wonder if it is the same dial as the all gold jumbo. Either way another big winner here.

The actual salmon AP dials I've seen have been on the yellow side so this will not be close to salmon colour. Really should have gone for salmon unless a Plat is in store.

I think this will be harder to get than the 15407ST or last year's Pt/Ti 15202. With only 75 pieces, I think they are probably all spoken for after SIHH.

I have purchased one many years ago and totally agreed with you the salmon dial on jubilee Jumbo is mesmerising. Love mine

If I had the money, this would be the piece I would get coming out of SIHH 2019.

Love the dial and I have always been a fan of white gold. This piece is going on the list for a future purchase hahaha

probably all spoken for before SIHH.

Didn't some guy post a receipt from the geneva boutique last year when he secured the 15202 pt/ti before it was even announced?

They held recently private viewing AP shows in Dubai & Singapore only 1-2 months back so Francois has shown his top clients these 75 examples and they're long gone..

The joke is on AP. They probably could have sold a thousand of these and skipped the Code line altogether.
