BLRO or 15500ST Grey?

I am a one watch man and currently have a BLRO and am given the opportunity buy a 15500 Grey from and AP AD.

Thoughts? Both are/would be purchased at MSRP and im initially thinking to cash in on the BLRO bubble and get the AP...

Polling - what would you'll do?

I prefer the 15500... Love this new model. Plus, the BLRO is soooo hyped at the moment, its kinda off putting at this point.

I do prefer the 15500, but would keep hold of a Rolex too, so I'd sell the BLRO and buy back a Sub or the new SMP.

AP is a finer piece, you kind of need both tbh. I wouldnt daily the AP but would the Rolex. This isnt due to robustness, this is purely from picking up scratches etc.

“I am a one watch man...” This is the only part that would concern me. A Royal Oak is a great watch. I’m not sure it’s a great only watch. That depends on your lifestyle.

In terms of which I’d rather have as part of a collection (even a collection of two), 15500 all day.

Exactly, AP as single watch is not the best idea IMHO. Having hoth blro and 15500 is ldeal case.

Like others have said if you are a one watch man it is more practical to keep the BLRO -- for wearability and durability.

Investment purposes I’d keep the BLRO. Otherwise, cash in on it and go for the RO. AP is at another level and the bracelet is second to none.

For a one and only probably the BLRO is a better choice. If possible, I'd try to add the 15500 (a nicer watch in my opinion).

Getting some cash out of the BLRO is definitely enticing right now.

Maybe sell the BLRO, pick up the 15500 and a Tudor BB58 or GMT?

I prefer the 15500. However, as an only watch, the BLRO is more versatile.

15500 no questions asked especially with the ridiculously inflated price of the BLRO. I wouldn't compare a 9K watch to one that retails for +2x this.

AP it is! Confirmed. Deposit made with an AP Boutique through the AP website for a 15500ST Grey. Woohoo!

Get the AP and don't look back but I'm biased (gray 15400).

IMO the AP is the superior piece, but if you're only going to have 1 watch and never anymore, then the BLRO is probably the more versatile piece.

I would say go for the AP and it´s absolute no problem to wear it as your one an only watch. I use to do the same with my 15400 (the Daytona sleeps in the bank safe for months) and an AP is versatile enough to wear it all day.

Like others have said. It depends on how you wear it and your tolerance of scratches. The BLRO is a more robust watch.

I’d keep the BLRO as it is very versatile and CE Bezel makes a huge difference
