Thanks everyone! I’ve had this watch for an hour now, and I couldn’t be happier with it! The reservations I initially had when trying to decide are completely gone. The off-center date window doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I kind of like it. Gives the watch some character.
I was also a bit concerned that it would wear a bit too large. I tried several on previously, but that was playing with my head while I was waiting for mine to roll in. Actually, it feels smaller and better fitting than my SkyDweller; perhaps because it is thinner.

This watch definitely has that “yes, but look CLOSER...” property that John Mayer mentioned in his Hodinkee interview. It feels aggressive, especially compared to its 5711 cousin, but not obnoxiously so. The way it plays with light is mesmerizing, particularly the bracelet. The dial is very chameleon-like.
The chrono pushers are silky smooth to operate; very easy to push.

I live in the NYC suburbs, where sales tax is slightly lower. I ended up saving about $250 by having them ship. Not much in the grand scheme of things, but it’s a nice dinner out with the wife. Plus, I wouldn’t have been able to make it to the boutique until Friday, so there is the added benefit of having the watch in hand 2 days earlier.

I will have it fitted at the NYC boutique, the same one that shipped it to me, on Friday, and hopefully they will shower me with gifts!
