A few of the black dials seem to be pics of real watches, not stock photos.

Sorry I don't memorize model numbers just know the names. Couldn't tell you the number for my Sub date, DSSD, or Sub Lvc. So I guess it is that cave. I prefer names and pics, not model numbers.

That is the same guy from Chrono24 . "Nashville watch". His listing here is $800 cheaper than on Chrino24.

Can these be had at the retail level or is it already way too late?

Seems there have been a few incomings already. Not surprised they’re already being flipped. Was lucky and surprised to get a call recently from an AD (non boutique) offering a black or grey dial. Passed the black to a good friend or else would have purchased it. Now kind of kicking myself for not getting the grey.

They can be had. At least in the states anyways. Anyone paying above msrp right now is unwise.

As these have come out so quickly I have a feeling Benihanas has done this deliberately so they go straight on the grey market at a large premium to try and set the price of this high to start with and then hoping momentum can keep it there. It's the kind of devilish thing Biver would also do, they seem cut from the same cloth.

Now that you mentioned it, I wouldn’t be surprised if true

Retail is $19200 and tax, so that actually doesn’t look too bad.
Compared to 15400 listings ($18 retail) at $32, I’ll take the new 15500 all day.

I was at the AP boutique in Vegas yesterday and the counter was pulled high with 15500s. All had names on them and were being shipped.

I really do not think it is fair to criticize AP for actually having the watches ready for delivery when they should. Frankly all releases should be ready a couple weeks after announcement for a proper product roll out not this 4-6 months crap patek tries to pull.

That's not the norm for 15400s. I'd be shocked to see any CONFIRMED sales at that price for a 15400. There are a few insane resellers here and on chrono that seemingly pull ultra-high prices out of their asses.
