Code 11.59 - any buyers on this forum?

The title says it all - very curious to see if anyone on this forum has picked one up. The couple boutiques I’ve visited have told me that they’re selling decently

Cheers

I haven't seen one live yet. Therefore I can't really tell if it might be something that I could wear.

Don't expect to find many takers on this one.

There is a long line of strap watches I’d want before a code. Very long. Even if I liked it, which I don’t, I’d fade it based on the idiotic name alone.

Don't know if they're showing in London anywhere. I'll email AP Brooks mews.

Are you going to the Code evening at the Tate next month?

I’ve seen a number of the models in the metal and can’t quite bring myself to get excited by them. The case is ok, but the dials just spoil them for me - hopefully future incarnations will be more appealing

Not at all, for a dressier strap watch I’d stick with Patek or Lange.

I like the blue dial white gold chrono.

The base black dial with rose gold looks great under natural light, the rose gold numbers really pop. Poor visibility inside, at least while they were showing me.

CODE Supersonnerie

In the CODE line up is the first Supersonnerie offering that is not in the Concept case. I am very interested in this piece. In my view the Supersonnerie is an amazing creation.

Man I just can’t get the picture of a Michael Kors watch out of my head anytime I see pics of them...

Yes, agreed. However, after trying one on, AP seem to have designed the Code to walk the fine line between dressy and sporty. Quite a unique take in my opinion

That looks good on your wrist. The rose gold versions definitely emphasize the workmanship more than the white gold ones

It is not my favorite nor would I consider buying. This will be a watch that down the road will see significant discounts and few takers.

Got to see these two during a visit to Shanghai.

Would say the regular piece wears larger than expected, but just didn’t appeal to me at all.

I think the tourbillon piece is fantastic, just not worth the price for me. I believe retail price is the same as the new Flying Tourbillon Concept

Yes, I believe its by invitation only. Drop AP London a quick line if you're keen to go. I myself have no interest in the Codes but will attend the event.

I know that the general initial reception of the Codes was poor at launch, but if nobody on this forum has purchased one, it surely doesn't bode too well.

Agreed. Maybe it’s too early to assess. It seems that most here are adopting a wait-and-see approach
