solid 18k yellow gold datejust

my cousins girlfriend wanted to give him this watch but he doesnt like it so she want to get him a different one. she bought it for her ex boyfriend a couple years back but he broke up with her before she gave it to him. she said she will sell it to me for $5000. its in good shape and is newer since it doesnt have holes in the case. it has an aftermarket 18k yellow gold italian presidential style bracelet and 1kt diamond bezel and diamond hour markers. would this be a reasonable price? would i be able to resale for more. any help would be apreciated

Let me describe it. A 18k gold datejust rolex never worn, Italian presidential 18k bracelet and 1kt diamond bezel. I'm pretty sure there's a million out there just like it. I just want to know if I could resale it for more.

I have an 18k / SS Datejust (band is also 18k / SS) with diamond bezel, which is appraised for $7,500. All gold DJ and Pres. band has got to be worth more than that; so $5,000 sounds nice. I would also check Ebay (and a trusted Seller).

Sounds like a good deal, if it's the watch you want. I've got a 60's, gold DJ on a strap. I paid about $2,500 w/o a bracelet. I understand the bracelet is aftermarket, but gold, aftermarket bracelets are still expensive.

I just bought my ladies Datejust SS/18 karat with 2 ct diamond bezel and MOP diamond dial brand new for 5400. Does that sound right? I have the original gold dial and bezel too. I still have time to return. Am getting appraised on Sat. I guess I just want to know before then..... the replacement value on my paperwork says 13,000. Since it's insured I'm just wanting my money back if something happens. I hope it's a keeper..... I spent a lot of time researching, now I'm wondering if it was enough?????

Never worn but with an aftermarket bracelet?

Seems to good to be true since new solid 18K gold day/date II's with the presidential braclet are worth many times more. I would suggest taking it to a local Rolex watch shop to check the authenticity and if it's perhaps been "borrowed" (i.e. check the serial number). If it's for real, then a good deal. Cheers
