Just tried the Daytona

I've just tried on a stunning a Cosmograph Daytona (in London). Oyster, 40mm, White Gold, with the Blue dial. 116509.

One thing that I was extremely impressed with was the weight. It's heavy for sure, but doesn't feel like an effort wearing it. It really was a thing of pure beauty. Quality at it's highest.

The price? £27,450 GBP. A bit out of my range, but I'm sure it will be snapped up very soon. Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Can this reference be had for a discount or are AD's not discounting PM models because the SS ones are impossible to find?

I didn't ask the Sales Rep the question of discount, as my intentions were not as a serious buyer. Having said that, and this is purely my opinion only, I do think a small % discount could apply, if one asks nicely.

I’m not in that market either, price wise but if I were I’d get that one. I love the cerachrom bezel on my BLNR but fat prefer the metal bezels on some of the Daytonas.

Good luck in your quest. As to affording it, you never know, right? That would be a lifetime watch to pass down.

I love this one so much in pics BUT the dial is pretty dark in low and normal light. It only pops in direct light. Its a beauty though.....

Definitely a sharp watch. I tried it on a few weeks ago and loved the blue dial.

I have never seen this specific combination with this color blue. It's stunning. Rolex "blue" never disappoints.

This pic is the first PM daytona in London i have seen in quite some time, minus the Pt. Token discount at best in a London AD IMO and the blue is one of the hotter ones.

ceramic bezel and i would be all over that watch

I tried that on at an AD's and loved it. Took it off quickly before I spent $30k.
