Meteorite Omega Speedy anyone?

Has anyone got the Soyuz limited edition Speedy?

I saw one picture and I really love it, but never seen anyone owns one.

Anybody owns one here?

For me, Omega has "overcooked" their so called "limited edition" speedy

The best one out there is still the standard version, 3570.50... That is what I call the true speedmaster

I agree with your comment regarding Omega's "not-so-limited" moon watch editions. As for the Soyuz specifically, the attraction of the standard Speedy Pro is its legibility. That is not true with the Soyuz.

I also agree that the 3570.50 is "(t)he best one out there" among current models. But neither the cal 861 nor the 1861 movements have worn on the moon.

I tried on the Apollo-Soyuz, and I was really disappointed. The dial just didn't look quite right, certainly lacks the beauty of the Rolex meteorite dials. At more than double the price of a standard 3570.50, it really doesn't make sense at all for me

My dad and I tried it on. For $8,000 we thought it wasn't really worth it.

I love the pictures from websites and all but I never seen any wrist shot from anybody in the forum.

Again, I love what Father John shown us for his Liquid Metal Seamaster, I guess for that kind of money people want to see a real deal and there are many comparisons to justify the purchase.

I just thought somebody had pulled the trigger to purchase one :-)

Hi there - Guessing you've seen some by now?
If not, then check out mine which is in the For Sale department - My photographs are a pretty good representation of what they look like.
Cheers,
Dave

I would like to casually disagree with some of the posts that said it wasn't quite right and you can get one now at roughly a third of the price of a meteorite daytona

I have one as well. I guess everyone has their own baseline for what is legible or easily readable but I for one have absolutely no trouble with my Apollo Soyuz.

I know I purchased it purely because it was/is a great looking and distinctive piece rather than just because it was a limited edition watch. I don't think anyone really buys these things because they are 'limited'.

I was also considering the Rolex Daytona meteorite watch but something just struck me as off - perhaps it was the roman numerals which I don't think Rolex has on any other Daytona.

les_canadiens if you saw a picture and like it, there's a good chance it's the watch for you. That's what it was for me - a couple of pictures and I knew I had to have it.
