Rare mistake from watch maker?

Recently I bought my RO for servicing through the boutique. After accessing the problem, they sent it back to HQ and got my dial replaced. The new dial has the wordings of the "AUDEMARS PIGUET" in white font instead of the usual black fonts. After checking with the service centre, they confirm that the watch maker has made an error and offered to take my watch back to replace the dial. I have concerns and ponder whether to part with my watch agaon for another good 3 months and to get it back with other wrong modification. Or should I leave it as it is since the fonts colour is different. Will there be any issue in future if I need to send my watch for maintenance in future? Any opinions??

Let's see a pic! If it looked nice, I'd probably keep it the way it is.

They confirmed the dial (assuming it's in writing) so you should be good for future servicing needs.
As for keeping it or not, do you like it or would you prefer it in black?

This historically significant, rare and highly desirable “error dial” from AP is today offered at la reserve by Phillips. I have a reserve bid here with maître l’huissier for 300’000.-

My Music Edition 37mm ROO has an error on the dial. One of the markers is not the same color as the rest in the vertical column of colors. AP confirmed the error and offered to change the dial but I will keep as is.

Personally, I would get it rectified. The white font looks ghastly…

I’d be sending that one back. White just looks off with the overall composition.

Personally at the first look its kinda cute but doesnt stand out like the black font. It took me a while to appreciate the white fonts ..since i hardly see any combi like that on a RO..anyone come across any model that is set in this white font on this gold dial combi?

Wow I do not like that text but I can see how some collectors could really like this kind of error, it's pretty crazy.

Someone must have been intoxicated. I'd probably get that fixed, if I was planning to wear the watch (Killer watch, btw!).

1. I would keep it, piece unique
2. Surprised it slipped through so many parties to reach the customer's hand

Each “column” has a gradient. The rightmost one, has a white mark (top) instead of red.

The music edition I'd def keep.

The 14802BA, after looking at it a few times, it's growing on me. Really makes the AP at 12 o'clock pop more. I think I do like it... I'd get the documentation to back this up though just in case you ever want to sell.

Very nice.

Curious though: with a vintage piece like that, why did you end up replacing the entire dial?

Fortunately I have requested for a certificate of authentication to be issued and it does come with photo of the 14802BA with the white fonts on the dial. As I am not so much concern about selling, my worry that the AP refuses to take in my watch for any maintenance in the future.
