Rolex deep sea special help

Hello collectors. The fact that this is my first post, I'd like to briefly introduce myself to the community. I am a collector of dive watches and any dive/scuba related vintage equipments. As the title states, Id like to ask the community, if I were looking for the deep sea special watch where would I begin. The two types I am aware of are the prototypes variants, and the museum pieces. And if possible what value do prototype and museum pieces bring. Id like to guess an estimate of around $100,000-$300,000 for both? Thank you for your time, Martin.

I thought the DeepSea Special wasn't for sale? I haven't heard about any prototypes in circulation that would be for sale.

Not for sale and IF it came to Market I’d expect 7 Figures.

Here's one that sold in Hong Kong in 2009.

Current exchange rate in USD makes it around $430,000.

I'm guessing it would go for more now.

It seems there were several produced without the DeepSea designator for the Canadian market. I wonder what they were testing?

Hello. Thank you all for replying back. I believe they were produced for the museum. Martin

Im sure in todays market you could expect to pay $1.5M- $2M if one actually came up for sale.
