Vintage wideboy question
For the experts out there:
Can anyone kindly tell me the production years for the datejust wideboy? Having trouble finding out through my own research. Also, what year did Rolex stop producing sigma dials for the datejust? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Wideboy is 1601, so production years for 1601. One of the forum members knew the approximate proportion of wideboy configuration to stick (it was fewer wideboys format, but as for luminous vs. non-luminous, etc.).

Thanks! Was hoping they made them in quick set, but alas it seems not...

No, the pie-pan dial that fits the 1601 won't fit the quickset, even the transitionals with the acrylic crystal. Slow-set isn't that large a pain, especially since you can advance or retard date (forward or backward) without risk.
Yeah, I have more than one wideboy. Not a single quick-set datejust.
