SS Daytona - black dial or white dial?

hi all, wondering if you will buy a white dial SS daytona or black one? in terms of preservation or appreciation of value, which one do you think is better?? I have a tendency towards black but not sure what you guys think....

Try the search button. An abundance of threads already exist on this topic. Consensus is white better for investment and more popular.

No right answer here mate. Buy what you like. For me, I bought both to solve this problem. Cheers

Personally, I think it depends on bezel color/material . SS I'd go white, ceramic I'd go black. Good luck!!

I would agree. I owned a 116520 with the white dial and stainless steel bezel and a ceramic GMT with the black dial.

Just goes to show, I prefer the other way around with these. But I will agree 100% there are no losers between 116520/116500 (or even 16520s)....all great watches in their own way.

Can’t go wrong either way, but ... I’ve owned a black 6263 and a white/silver 6263, and I much prefer the latter. From a design standpoint, it pops more on the wrist, with more contrast and more of a “vintage” look, if that makes sense. Plus the black bezel picks up the black sub-dials, so I just think it stands out more. All my other watches have black dials, so it’s nice to mix it up.

As for sapphire models, I’ve owned both versions of the new Daytona-C, and flipped both fairly soon after getting them. Too blingy for my taste.

Whichever you like. I prefer the white for better legibility. Both beautiful though.

I like the panda dial more, but that’s me. Good luck with your decision.

White for legibility? I found my white ceramic difficult to read, so I'm now on the hunt for a black dial (thinking it would be easier to read). Now I don't know what to think

If the white was tough to read then I would reconsider getting the black. How about a GP Laureato? Just picked one up and I love it.

Both are great, but it depends on the looks of your collection. If stand alone, roll the dice!

I have 500LN black, and 520 white. Since you are from HK, it seem this is the opposite of what is more popular. Get what you like, you will never feel connected if you buy based off of trends and prices.

The SS bezel = black. The ceramic bezel = white. That’s the pulse I’ve seen.

SS Daytona - black dial or white dial?

White it is for me! But I do not think that it is an investment. Maybe money in the bank... with negative interest.
