Blue dial Yachtmaster 40

An AD I contacted awhile back called and asked if I'd be interested in this watch. I have no purchase history with them so I'm probably going to pick it up to start the relationship. I really do like it so it's a win/win situation.

I like the red date! It doesn't look like mine will have that.

It’s a great watch (love mine, and it was my first), BUT you really should think about buying it if the main reason is to start a relationship. You should buy it bc you really like it and think it’s worth $12k if your money.

Mine is a 16622 with silver dial, which bought used with the red date wheel installed. Sourced the OEM blue dial from a 116622 and my watchmen installed it with new blue lume hands (as the 16622 have green lume and the 116622 has blue lume)

That’’s a very nice modification. Looks great

Wearing mine on a Jubilee as well and fitted a roulette date. Still liking the silver dial.

Buy it only if you really like it, not to build a relationship, as buying it doesn’t guarantee you what you want in the future.

There is no guarantee that buying this YM will get you any further up the ladder with the AD, this watch may have been turned down by a customer as they didn't like it when it arrived, the dealer now has a watch that they need to shift ASAP, you have been selected for this honour.

Buy the watch by all means but only if it is a watch that you are going to enjoy wearing, I tried it at the AD a while back and it really is stunning, but it doesn't suit everyone.

If you like it buy it. AD will test you if you are the best cow to milk so everytime they have something mildly hot but not spicy enough to sell easily to someone they will give it to you but most of the time you will not get what you really want and they will keep it as a promise. Because if they give you all you want then there will be no customer or less good cows to milk. So grab it but learn how to politely say no next time and pursue for the piece that you really want. Got this beauty by the way... luv it!

I loved the 116622LB when I had it. It's more comfortable on the wrist than a 11Xxxx series Submariner or GMT Master. I kept it longer than any other watch Ives had in the last 5 years also.

The 40mm YMs are perfect imho. The best fit and finish of all the dive watches Rolex makes. I love mine and wear my Rhodium a lot. They also look great on straps!!! Congratulations on a great watch!!!

If it sings to you, jump on it. It's a very nice, comfortable watch and the blue dial really pops.

I think its one of the most striking sports Rolex ...

Plat bezel
Sexy rounder shape case .
Blue dial ,touch of red .
Oyster bracelet with polished centre links .

I think its brilliant !

I think it beats my DJ41 Blu Flu Jub

Platinum, rhodium, blue, black, chocolate, I like them all. If money wasn't a limiting factor I'd have more than one.

Had the silver dial to start with but felt too monochromatic but now own the blue dial and that dial is gorgeous. I really love the look of the YM and cannot understand why it is not more popular. Go for it!

I’ve been waiting 4 months for mine. Is it just me or does it feel harder to come by the YM40mm blue? Yes I know all SS Rolex are all hard to come by.

I talked to a couple AD's that said they get a lot more of the rhodium dial than the blue.
