Timex Marlin ! ! !

Hello all!

So I finally caved and ordered a Timex Marlin :D

Super excited about it

It will be my first manual wind watch, and also the only watch in that casual leather strap style of watch. It will join my Datejust 36 and Seiko skx013.

Please share pics of your Timex Marlin to hold me over until mine arrives !

Have a great week!

I use it in rotation with my other watches. I bought it on sale and thought it would be a potential gift. But that did not happen due to strong vintage vibes from the model - very close to its original. So I kept it

Fits under the cuff easy. WR could have been better and some AR on the inner side would have been appreciated.

Overall nicely executed.

I did get another Marlin after this...

Awesome

I like the Snoopy !

I wanted one of those too, but hav been longing for a watch that is manual wind only, so I went with the 34mm

Great inexpensive timepiece, plus for the price feel free to crack her open and regulate her for acuracy.

I have the hand winding Marlin, the automatic Marlin, both are nice for the price. I don’t wear them, prefer to leave them in their boxes. See I’m old enough to remember watching John Cameron Swazy with live commercials of Timex. The “ takes a lickin but keeps on tickin”.

I found a vintage GO on a Chrono24 article very similar to the Marlin. Enjoy

I think Timex did a great job on its Marlin lineup, both manual and automatic.

I ended up with the automatic snoopy, which is a great watch, nice high dome crystal, japanese motor .

I was reading (on Hodinkee I think) that GO did a remake of that watch as well?

I just remember it being similar to the Marlin but more expensive
