Very Quick Review Of My New Rolex 116621 Everose Yachtmaster

Hi all,

Just recently acquired this new and unworn and thought I share some pictures for you. This watch and the Grey Dial version were the only ones to capture my attention at Basel 2016 and it was a toss up between the two considering the major price difference between them. In the end I went for this one although I really did have to sleep on the decision.
For people that don't know, this watch wears very different to a Submariner, it's a lot lighter (the Everose doesn't feel weighty really) - at times I forget it's on my wrist - the curved lugs help the watch hug tightly to my smallish wrist.
This watch is my first one with precious metal and honestly the gold I find very subtle. In certain light it either looks bling or very subdued. The price of the watch I think is certainly fair in comparison to it's full blown RG, WG or Platinum siblings.

In short I love the watch. People say it can't be worn everyday but I don't see why it cannot. Enjoy the pictures (sorry for phone pics!)

Thanks. To be honest I love all the colours of the yachtmaster, really can't go wrong with any of them.

Beautiful. Just purchased one myself, i should be expecting it tomorrow. I originally wanted to get a 18k RG/SS yachtmaster II. But after trying it on at an AD, realized it was a huge watch. They had this one and it fits a lot better and looks great (i love rose gold watches). so excited to get it !!!

Congrats! I have the same problem as yours recently but pulled the trigger on the rhodium dial. Indeed the YM felt really good on the wrist.

Says who?! I agree with you: it seems appropriate for pretty much any situation / dress code.

WIS's forget that the great majority of watches are small and subtle enough that they are a relatively insignificant part of one's attire. I.e., as long as you avoid strapping a huge, brightly-coloured diver over the cuff of a business suit, >90% of the world won't even register your choice of wristwatch. So, that minor caveat aside: wear whatever you like, where you like and when you like!

awesome...YM is so underrated. the Sub is ubiquitous. The YM can be dressed up and also is a conversation piece because you don't see it tin the wild much... Very nice watch. Thanks for sharing the pics.
