Really glad I acquired a Fuschia GMT insert when I Did!

I pulled my ca.1974 (4,033,5xx) 1675 GMT out of the vault today for the first time in several months and was immediately reminded how much I really love this watch with the perfect Fuschia bezel insert. The prices being asked lately for less than stellar Fuschia inserts (when available) is quite stunning.
I'm going to give this beauty some well deserved wrist time this week

Wow, that bezel is really amazing. Probably get around $4k just for that right now.

Does inserts actually sell for 4k or is it just sellers dreaming? They are very pretty but not really rare or unique. To me it's all about quality; regardless color of the fade. Fuchsia was just the normal way late 60's inserts faded. Just the same as the slightly earlier mid 60's inserts often took an orange tone.

Yours look great by the way so don't take my comment wrong.

I think he could get $4k, it could take a bit of time, but yes I think he could. This example is as nice as I have seen.

And I do think the Fuchsia inserts are rare(er) as fuchsia only occurs in inserts, from what I have seen & read, where the blue & red meet in the number "8" of the "18".

The slightly earlier inserts which fade to orange (brown) are also beginning to fetch a premium and from what I have seen also have the blue and red meet in the number "8" of the "18".

Cool!

To me the fuchsias almost always sat on matte mk1's before they got hot. Very 1967-68 rather than where colors met but can't say I've done research. It's just experience. Regardless they are indeed pretty.

Here's an old orange insert I had. Doesn't break as high as this fuchsia but as high as many others. Font is the same with the smaller triangle but colors are different. This color combo is for me more common for gilts the same way as fuchsias for me is more common on later matte mk1's. Not saying you are wrong; just sharing my opinion.

Yeah, I see what you mean with where your insert here is slightly different than the fuchsia. Thanks for pointing it out.

For me, i actually prefer orange fade to the fuchsia and your example here is/was awesome! Love it!

Personally I do too but that's a different story. Fuchsias are still fun.
