another old model, help please



So there's nothing written on the back, or the sides. I'm told it's gold.

Sorry for the lack of information... My grandfather served in several wars, and used to lend people money - they would give him items for collateral. I guess whoever originally owned the watch never wanted it back.

Any ideas? I may need to take it somewhere to be opened?

Model and serial on that watch should be between the lugs. If they aren't and it's gold they have been polished off.

5015 likely but your picture cuts off the crown so I can't tell what crown it has.

Refinished dial for sure.

Could be fake...

Gotta see it open with the autowind removed and the inside of the caseback.
