Is this a different rumour that starts every week, or the same self perpetuating one that been going for two years.

In answer to your question OP. Yes we have all heard this rumour and agree it will be some time between now and the next twenty years.

I heard it on TRF about 5 or 6 times. It will be discontinued one day but who knows when.

Funny enough, I called a 1-900 psychic number earlier. Paid $50 for five min of time. She told me the craziest thing!! All current Rolex models will be discontinued at some point in the future!

I was just talking to my AD about one, and he said that I could order anytime and he could have one in a couple weeks. He's an owner (of the store) too, very knowledgeable, reputable and down to earth. If these were going to be a challenge he would have mentioned it if he knew something.

Might be something that happens next year or something.

Spoke with an AD today and said they haven't seen one in 4 months....
It will discontinued soon.... I speculate aug 2017 which would make an even 3 years of production..

Of course it will be discontinued. All Rolex watches or a certain model are eventually discontinued.

Are you buying one?
If you like the watch just buy it...

I have worn mine for over a year and I will never sell it, so i don't care if they discontinue it or not..

Your AD cannot "order" a D-Blue, these are allocated by Rolex as and when they decide.

I don't see the hurry, it's still in good demand with restricted supply, esp in the UK where it sells for £2K over retail, and the SD43 is not that similar so they can both occupy the SD space.

Not entirely true. Paid in full orders can be placed by ADs, and are generally honored by Rolex over and above any waiting lists or other such nonsense. I got my white DaytonaC by making a paid in full order on the day it came out. Had it in hand in about four months or so. It's still the only white DaytonaC theyve received. It's all about what kind of relationship you have with the dealer.
