I won't wear it if it even has a remote possibility of being touched by anyone working at an AD with ungloved hands.

Working as a chimney sweep, the chances of scratching it are too great, so I wear an old Timex disposable.

I wear it everywhere except with some sports like boxing and icehockey. I wear it in sauna too.

Anything where the watch would sustain damage, for that I wear either a Casio G shock or Timex expedition.

I don't wear mine if I have people visiting my house on any kind of business - estate agents, builders or tradesmen etc. As I don't really know who I am inviting into my home I can't see the point in advertising the fact I might have an expensive watch stashed away somewhere when I am out.

Showering, to sleep, or to work. Since I'm in the printing business getting ink on you happens from time to time and I've tossed more than one watch because of it.

First off I am referring to my collection only. Secondly this is my personal opinion and anyone can wear what they want.

In my opinion, there are occasions where the individual is not the focal point. A funeral is one example. To wear a flashy gold watch, calling attention to oneself, is inappropriate, to me anyways. Even if it is not your intent, I wouldn't want to risk it. I also held my god children for their baptisms. My bluesy did not need to be in the pictures, its about them, not me. Hope this makes sense, not trying to judge anyone, just my opinion. To each their own.
Cheers.
