GMT 1675 advice needed

Long time lurker here! About to take my first dip into vintage and I have been offered this 1675. To me eyes everything looks great but would really appreciate a condition report from the experts on this forum. Your feedback on the dial, hands, case and bracelet originality would be greatly appreciated.

Year: 1971
Serial: 30xxxxx
Oyster bracelet: 7836 final 380

Really appreciate your advice. Many thanks!

The watch appears to have been polished so much that nothing remains.

To me, and I am NOT an expert, it looks like a nice MK 1 matte dial with matching patina on the dial and hands and open 6 and 9 date wheel. Nice faded insert that while not a fat font, appears to be a correct red backed insert. Nice folded link oyster bracelet, and I don't think the lugs have been polished too badly in the past. The dial, hands, case, and bracelet appear to fit together nicely here. They all have a similar amount of wear and show some age. If it's on chrono24 then I'll just guess the price is probably 30% higher than it should be so hopefully you can negotiate a little.

The case is a little soft compared to mine which was thought unpolished. Is the buyer trustworthy and do they have a return policy?

Not the best of pictures to judge the case completely but from what is shown, the left bottom lug looks thin.

If the watch shows so much wear, why would the back sticker be in such great condition. Most likely one of Ebay's stickers..

x2. May or may not be authentic sticker, but virtually no way it's original to the watch. Also, case back stickers were usually removed and stuck to paperwork or the paperwork holder. Rarely were they just left on the back of the watch. And this watch has been polished, so sticker could be a red flag.

Likelihood of a case back sticker still there from original on a watch that's been obviously polished?

Agree with the above, logic defied on how the caseback sticker is still there. With the exception of the polish, the watch looks good though, I like the fade on the insert...

Ask the seller for a pic of the caseback and movement -if the polish isn't a deal killer. It should have a date stamp that is somewhat consistent with the serial #.
