I would go DD as the YM in your avatar is bordering on being too large for your wrist imho (but as a sport watch you can get away with it). Plus the DD is a classic

I just traded two DD II's for two Sky-Dwellers and could not be more pleased. I really like the DD models in all sizes but the 41 mm DD II really worked for me size wise. I like the look of the DD II in every why but the bracelet in the long run does not work for me. No micro adjustment and you can only add or remove links. This does not work for me for a watch as expensive as the DD. The easy link system in the Sky-Dweller is outstanding and the Glidelock system in the PM Subs is even better. The Sky-Dweller has it all and the adjustment for me.

I'm sorry I can't help. I much prefer the DD in terms of asthetics but I could never get past the bracelet with no adjustment.

I'm not a fan of the Skydweller either.

What about a BLRO, it's dressy and sporty all in one and gives you the extra GMT complication?

Have you tried on both yet? If you need/want an annual calendar or like a bigger/thicker watch then no question the SkD. Otherwise the DD40 is a fantastic piece (particularly with rhodium dial and YG).

Sky-D is a pretty spacial wach and before making a final decision you should try both models. I have a prettybig wrist (8.1 inch) but for me SkyD felt a bit too big for me.

Sky D would be the one as having the most innovative movement; the DD on the other hand is only offered in PM if that means anything to you. Really there is no loser in this decision. For me it would be the Sky D.

Tough call. Purely on practicality, DD wins. The day indicator is really helpful and the double quickset function works very well and easy to live with.

The YG Day Date...........broader based market appeal, a much nicer looking bracelet, and IMHO, a much better looking piece overall.

While I don't think you'll have a problem with fitment based on your profile pic, I tried one on at my AD this week, and with my 7.75" wrist I could just close the clasp. I would have needed to order two more links at about $600 CAD each, to make it fit the way I wanted. Good thing it had a champagne dial, because if it was white with Romans, I'd probably be wearing it now......LOL !!

There's nothing wrong with the Skydweller, it's function is just as irrelevant as those on the DD.

I might be biased but the Sky D is probably one of the most beautiful watches Rolex has made.

I have a 36 mm YG DD, which I love. But if I had to choose only one, I would go with the SkD. Otherwise I would say get both.
