Advice on 1665 DRSD Please.
Hello Members,
I am considering the purchase of this 1973 DRSD. I have asked several questions and had positive replies as we would expect. Do any members who have greater knowledge on the 1665 have any comments or questions. This is the website viewable. http://www.benwatch.com/rolex/1452_1...665-double-red Any views would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards SJ |

Looks to be a very nice mk4 DRSD. There is a small broken piece on the 9:00 hash mark.
Looks to have the correct case back if it is in fact from 1973. Good luck

Nice watch, I think its a later bracelet, which seems to be worded carefully in the description. But thats not really what we are buying here is it! Ill let the experts chime in on the more salient points of this example...

Is there a pix of the movement and one showing case/caseback seal condition?

Looks a nice watch with a few marks here & there :.)
Any reason why that Watch & that dealer based your location& the dealers ? Just thinking out loud due to your proximity to US mainland & most of the better examples I've saw lately have come from US dealers |

Advice on 1665 DRSD- Thankyiu
Many thanks to all for your replies. Much appreciated.
I do have some case back pictures which were issued separately to me. I should have posted. In respect of the seller and my proximity to the US, I have found my regular views on the sites I use that prices have been much higher of late than this example. Seems to me to find a good example DRSD MkIII or IV that $35k plus plus is about the norm. In addition it seems that the word 'tropical' is in fashion (despite the recent articles and discussion) with many sellers and many DRSD seem to have turned tropical by the magic light of photography only! Thankyou all once again Best SJ |
