Half of grail is done

I went to Puerto Rico last week with a group of 3 other couples. I planned the itinerary of each day for the group with plenty to do. Since we packed in so much I planned for Sunday as the rest day. We were going to all stay at the villa, sit by the pool, maybe walk down to the beach. Well we are eating breakfast Sunday morning and one of the women says lets go shopping. Shopping was nowhere on the itinerary. After the one woman mentioned it all of the other women wanted to go. I was not happy. So we drive down to Plaza las Americas mall and I am complaining the whole time. While waiting on them to shop I walked in Felix Bared jewelers and it was sitting there. A SS Daytona with white dial. I was told they would sell it to me and ship it to my house for retail and no tax or they would sell it to me there for $10,500 plus tax. It came out to be roughly the same so I walked out with it. Now my search begins for a Panda dial... I guess I will no longer complain about shopping.

Complaining to my wife never seems to help so I don't bother anymore. Congrats on the pick up!

BTW. If you spent over $11K, how much did the Mrs. spend?

Not much surprisingly, but when I talked to her about getting it she said, " We all need to treat ourselves sometimes." So I am sure it is coming!

7% of $10,500 is $735, that's not roughly the same to me, but I bet it was worth it.
Enjoy your new watch!

Enjoy your new watch!
Maybe it was the new retail of $11,250 shipped vs. $11,235 there with tax?
