Rolex Shops of Interest in KL

Myself and the wife will be flying to Kuala Lumpur at the begining of June is there any members that can recommend any watch shops worth visiting? Used watch shops preferable.

Dave

KL's a great place for watch shopping, Some of the 2nd hand watch places I've visited include BB Plaza, Bangar Shopping Centre / Village, Times Square, remember to haggle. You may also want to check our the website SWX as there are a number of Malaysian sellers on there. Worth also checking out the ADs as with the recent changes in tax on luxury goods it's a pretty good place to buy first hand. Good luck and enjoy the marvelous food...

I purchased my Sub-C TT from the Swiss Watch Gallery @ the Pavilion. I would definitly purchase from them again.

There are dozens of authorised AD's in KL, you really cant go wrong with any of the big reputable ones in proper department stores.

Not second hand of course, but there are at least two ADs in Suria KLCC. I have had good experiences at both the Rolex shop and Hourglass.

Rolex prices have been controlled in Malaysia ie. whichever AD that sells Rolex will sell the same price for a given model.

Also I've found the popular SS sport models are selling at premium prices, much more than prices you can get from reputable TRF sellers. KL used to be good for buying a new Rolex, not anymore...

Just returned from KL and found a place that was selling used and new Rolex. The new rolex offered with 18% discount, used watch prices ok but nothing special well worth a visit they had a good collection of used watches Rolex, Panerai etc. The guy I spoke with was called Sam, the shop owner comes from China so most of their watches come from different sources.

My opinion is that TRF has the best collection of new and used
Rolex watches for sale, most are sold with reasonable asking prices
and some are plain... "stop smoking dope in the morning"... prices.
Enjoy your visit in KL and don't worry too much if your "grail"
is not available...there is always one around the corner waiting for you...
