Sub C spring bars

Anyone know if the following Otto Frei spring bars will fit the Sub C (114060)?

Otto Frei part number- FB-7864

I am putting together a gift for a close friend which will include a custom strap and George's end links. I would also like to include a pair of new spring bars.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but I think they are located in Oakland, CA, I'd give them a call, they were always more than helpful on the phone when I have called.

I called them and they were not able to cross reference it with the Rolex part. All they were able to do is give me the same information that is listed on the website.

Have you tried a local AD? Maybe they will be more help.

Most ADs will give you spring bars for free. At least the ones around here will.

I did try my local AD and they did not have them in stock. They offered to give me a generic set that would "work" but I politely declined. I have to order some things from Otto Frei anyway so I figured I would add the bars into my order.

Well I'm pretty sure Otto Frei uses generic spring bars too, just like the bracelet screws. Correct me if I'm wrong?

You may be right but at least with Otto Frei I am able to see the specs of each and choose accordingly. I am unable to know exactly what I'm getting from the AD if they don't have the OEM spring bars in stock. I don't think my local AD stocks many specific parts for Rolex. Although I don't know for sure it seems as though they send everything to RSC outside of a bracelet resizing.

Someone must know the exact specs in here!

You would do better by your friend to get Rolex spring bars rather than generics no matter where they came from...

A failure has some dire consequences.

The Sub c uses unique springbars that have a larger pivot end than any other model.. I do not believe that anybody makes "generic" springbars for the new Subs..

Can you get them (Rolex spring bars) through a RSC? Or try another AD?

True - however there are "generics" on eBay -

but I think the OP would be better with a phone call to a watchmaker with a Rolex parts account or other source for the genuine ones...

I called a Rolex watch maker with a parts account but he said he was unable to sell them to me without having the watch in hand. Rolex has a strong hold on everything. I have not tried RSC so I will do that next.

Have any of you had success buying spring bars from RSC?
