1601 Wideboy
After many hours of reading and looking at photos posted by fellow enablers, I have come to really like the 1601 WG fluted bezel wideboy with the silver dial. I find that particular combination very attractive.
When I do acquire this 1601, it will be my second Rolex but it will be my first foray into the vintage world. Might I add that what attracts me to this particular reference is the price. I think it will be a nice sibling to my GMTc. So now to the questions: 1. I see a lot of 1601s that are being sold as heads only. How difficult is to source an appropriate bracelet? My understanding is that i can cost between $300 to $500. 2. How difficult is to source an oyster bracelet to fit the 1601? I think the oyster bracelet gives it a modern look. I particularly am fond of the PCL on the oyster bracelet. It provides contrast and gives the bracelet depth and dimension. Thanks, Shawn |
