Incoming... Pepsi GMT 1675
Introducing my new GMT 1675 circa 1977 with box and service papers that confirm bezel and dial original and hands new (which was fine with me as I liked be clean look). The forum here was central to my search - comments on a 16753 rootbeer helped me hone in on what I wanted (less bling, and a pepsi original to start as my first Rolex). Watching what was for sale and checking in on Jacek's offerings gave me a better idea of prices and what was available and in what condition I could expect different year versions. In the end I got very lucky via a watch dealer I located and once we agreed on the price - and after everyone here commented favorably! -- all I had to do was wait...
Watch arrived looking better than described. Bracelet has very little stretch so all I did was have it sized smaller (I hated to hand it over to watch dealer in my area even for a few minutes but I did).I thought of leaving it home during a weekend trip but couldn't bear to be separated. (I brought a padded box to slip it in at airport checks) I do need to change the date but first need to find out how. Otherwise, it's keeping time like a champ and the 24 hour hand very useful for me. Many thanks all around! I couldn't be happier with it! |

Very nice, congrats. Bracelet may still be a little large, but whatever you're comfortable with. if it's too loose it will wear the links a lot quicker, that's all.
To change the date you have to wind it through the cycle of hours and days, I'm afraid! |
