Rolex Service Question - Bakelite Daytonas
Does Rolex service have/replace bakelite bezels on the older Daytonas? I didn't think they had replacement parts that go that far back. In fact I didn't think they serviced watches past a certain age.

I'd err on the side of caution and what is likely the case, and say probably not. Part of the cost of admission for vintage Rolex is not having the convenience of sending your piece off to RSC and receiving the same watch in return.

They're not Bakelite, just plastic. They will replace a broken bezel with a new service bezel also known as the Mk4 bezel. Price is $1275 for this part in the USA.

They're still available from RSC, on an exchange only basis.
