Prices in Japan

Gentlemen,

Ive heard from friends that japan has a very good preowned market and that the prices are even better than in hong kong. Can anyone confirm this? Thoughts? Thank you.

I was just in Tokyo. Great vintage watch shopping but not at bargain prices, at least compared to the US.

They were about a month or two ago but not anymore. Blame Brexit and BOJ inaction. Last month 1 USD= 111¥. That's like 11% off.. Now it's down to 102¥

Prices for vintage in Hong Kong are pretty high = basically the same as everywhere else now as is Japan from what I saw last year. But some good pieces on offer.

Great pieces here in Tokyo, but I wouldn't say it's significantly cheaper than anywhere else, especially with the new Brexit exchange rates.

The dollar took a nosedive here. Won't stay that way for long , but for now no real deals in Japan for foreigners.
