WG surround markers painted to match or no? Submariner 168000 transitional
I'm having some heated debate here on this particular piece and overall on how to tell if markers have been painted to match. How do you tell beyond louping it hard up close? The markers all seem even and I don't see any paint on them in person at 10x. What should I be looking for?
Thanks team Ryan |

The picture is not the best so my guess is the dial sat in a drawer, plots down (highest point of the dial), and thus the results.

Thanks TimeToGo, that's actually what the guy said in broken English, something about the plots being faced down, didn't quite understand. With painted markers is there a definitive way to check for that?
Not sure how people feel about it either, to be fair the date wheel and hands don't match anyway |

Apologies gents it's a 168000 still the more rare transitional model, I'm just getting picky with the markers

Repainted/relumed markers (plots) on a white gold surround would definitely make a mess and would doubt stay within markers. If this price is right, go for it and try to source another set of dial/hands, etc. Good luck! |
