About 16753 root beer bezel insert

I have received this bezel insert from my friend in Japan.
He said he was bought in trusted Rolex store.
I don't know this insert is real or fake?

Not real...numerals are sloppy.

A good look at the foot of 2 o'clock spacing is the most obvious clue.

Take a look at a genuine one for a comparo (from an old listing here by Jacek).

I've seen many fakes that look pretty good but the one thing they never get right is how the numbers line up along the curve of the insert. My quickest trick is to look at the bottom of the 22. All Rolex inserts as far as i know have the bottom of the 22 curve to match the curve of the insert. Fake ones are always straight across. You're is straight across.

Does this seem genuine? It should fit my plastic 16753, right?

Looks good, my 1980 16753 came with the same insert.

Plus the daylight numerals on OP look much thinner than night time numerals.
