1675 help please part II

Ok so i passed on the other one to many issues & price was up there also it was from overseas, but i found this one which is semi local to me & would appreciate your guys putting your expert eyes on it ,i realize i might owe some you a beer if we ever meet up

2.8 mil case is stamped "71" jubilee bracelet wouldn't be my 1st choice but i think it could grow on me, it looks pretty clean to me besides the small chip on the bezel insert,do you think the plots have been washed or scraped clean ,papers but no box i figure you can always add the box & hang tags but never add the punched warranty card & i can get it at a reasonable price i thought.

Poor case, luminova service hands, later insert etc. Last one was much better.

What Roh said. Also, if you don't want a jubilee then don't settle. You'll find the right example. If you jump on something just to get your purchase completed whatever you settled for will be the one thing you focus on every time you look at it... Be patient...

It took me almost a full year before I purchased my 1675. I probably spent an hour a day online looking at different sites and reading research before I eventually purchased one from John. Stay patient.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, how can you tell it's a poor case?

I'm legitimately asking. I am new to the vintage world and am looking at other vintage Rolex sport watches, and I would have never been able to tell this is a poor case.

What are the signs of a poor case?

In this case the lugs are thick as toothpicks. Just as a starter. :)

Ref. the front view picture:

Indeed......the left upper lug has only 80% of the width of te right lower lug..

My 1978 GMT 1675 (absolutely) never polished.....only cleaned/greased/not any new part (even plastic glass) in 1983.........runs still perfect...
