anyone used Gray&Sons for vintage band restoration?

i am in the process of having a vintage 6694 serviced, but its original oyster expansion bracelet needs a bit of work (one link is out of position and it has some age related sag) that RSS wont fix. the only place i have found in the US who seems to do vintage Rolex band restoration is gray&sons in florida.

anyone have any experience witb them?

i have read classic watch repair in taiwan does amazing work but i'm apprehensive about sending the band overseas....so am considering stateside option.

thoughts?

What do they charge?

That's the thing. I personally can't see how anyone in the states can do it for a reasonable price.

Maybe they can.

I'd be interested to know.

for a basic steel oyster bracelet the ballparked around $480 for a basic restoration....still far less than the $900+ rolex wanted to take my bracelet in trade against the cost of a new one.

I don't have any first hand experience, but based on their YouTube videos, it looks like they do quality work. I'm sure it isn't cheap.

Michael Young in Hong Kong is about $200 max for restoration including shipping to and from. Looks brand new when he is done with it. His work is amazing!

I've had a total of three bands done by MY and am about to send 2 more. Very, very nice result, very reasonable price, no issues with shipping.
