Saying hi and showing my new Rolex

So I have had my eye on Rolex for a while but could never afford one. Well a deal came up and I thought what the heck. It's a 1967 oyster model 6427. Repainted dail. No b/p
What do you guys think ?

Eventually I'd like to get a nice aucthentic metal band for it. Anyways I can also get this from the seller for another 250 (Canadian) and it's period correct and not a repaint.
Anyways I paid 1400 Canadian for it. Movement is good, no service record tho and I'd also like a new crystal but just for now all I could afford is the watch. Good deal? You can be honest

* update. I posted a thread asking you guys about this watch before buying it but since it was my first post it needed to be vetted by the mods.

Well I just saw it and read it now after posting this because I thought it never got posted because of the "don't post threads asking about value" and the general consensious was a big no.
I feel dumb now because I did as much research online as I could. Hours and hours and all signs pointed to jump on this one. Augh!

Its a nice watch to start your experience on rolex just better find a strap like this one in the future and replace it! It will look much more elegant. Gratz for your buy :)

Yah I'm not in love with this strap either but I can pull the crown clasp and get a nicer strap. I just wish I would have seen my other thread about asking the value. In your opinion should I be happy with this at that price as a starter or sad? Or should I start to cry ? Lol

I personally wouldn't get one with a repainted dial or any mods

Better to continue saving I think

Screw what others think. People are far to judgemental and if your happy be happy. A nice first step, now build a collection and get into the good side of this fantastic hobby.

Enjoy your watch!!! You should be able to locate an original dial for your watch. They do appear on eBay every so often, and the price runs about $100 to $150.

Heck why can't I start my own internet rumor and raise the prices of MY WATCHES!!!!
