Joined the Speedy Club with a FOIS
I had my heart set on a Moonwatch for years however while researching I came across the FOIS and I did confuse me as I didn't know which one to go for...so much I did end up making a thread about it:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=520144 Thank you to all those who contributed to the thread with your opinions, I tried on both many times and with the impending Omega price rise in the UK (comes into effect in 3 days from now) I had to be quick but in the end I picked up a FOIS today from the Omega shop in Regent Street, London. I am really happy with the choice and the service I received from the shop was unreal, cannot recommend them enough. In the bag alongside the watch was the "normal" complimentary swag but they let me take home a brand new Moonwatch Only Speedmaster guide book which after looking on the internet has an RRP of a few hundred £'s. I am becoming liking the FOIS especially with the smaller dial.
Got bonus gift too with the book. I am assuming there was little discount available? |

You,ll enjoy wearing the FOIS and all the little unique details. Congrats ! I also made the FOIS my first Omega, just seems right to get into space first before you go to the moon

Thanks for the nice words^ Had the watch for a couple weeks now, the leather strap is getting broken in nicely now so its not so fiddly to take the watch on/off. This is my first watch with a leather strap so taking a bit of getting used to for me.

Good to hear you are enjoying the watch.
I am in a similar situation deciding which speedy to go for. I prefer to wear my watch with a bracelet. The FOIS only comes with a leather strap so there will be extra expense buying another steel bracelet for this watch. Therefore leaning towards the Pro. Must try both on and decide. |
